‘Genius by Stephen Hawking’ Will Ask Audience to Weigh in on Big Questions

PBS and National Geographic’s new 6-part science series Genius by Stephen Hawking will incorporate audience participation to break down some of the most complex scientific ideas into a digestible and fun way.

“The key thing for us is this ‘play along’ – it feels very different to other science documentaries because often it’s big blue-chip science where you’re told the information, whereas in this case it’s about audience interaction,” producer Ben Bowie tells Realsreen.

The show will have a social media element asking the audience for their takes on the show’s big questions, revolving around topics like alien life, time travel, and more.
