Last week, FX broke records by garnering 45 Emmy nominations, the most of any basic cable network ever. It was the unique, sometimes experimental nature of the shows on FX (American Horror Story, It’s Always Sunnne in Philadelphia) that made the creators of The Strain think of the network as the only natural home for their graphic vampire horror show.
“FX has been fantastic. They gave us the latitude to tell the story the way we wanted to…It is really unadulterated,” says showrunner Carlton Cuse to Cablefax.
