Editor Ron Patane on the Challenges of Cutting the Dialogue-Heavy ‘A Most Violent Year’

Editor Ron Patane talks to the Editors Guild about the challenges of cutting his most recent endeavor, J.C. Chandor’s A Most Violent Year.

There was also the challenge of what stays in or gets cut out because it’s not moving the story forward, trying to find the heart of the movie. Then there were structural challenges, where we moved things around.”
