A three-day training event at GV Expo running from December 1st through 3rd, the DC Post|Production Conference is designed for professionals in TV, video, film, motion graphics and new media who wish to maximize their creativity and efficiency, and improve their technical skills. Sessions are geared to intermediate to advanced professionals and are presented theater style with ample time for Q&A. The conference runs three full days in three parallel tracks.

DaVinci Resolve is the world standard for color grading and final finishing and version 12 makes it even more capable, but it’s a very deep application and for many, it can be pretty intimidating getting started.
In this in-depth face paced session, join colorist, trainer and long time DaVinci user Robbie Carman as he guides you in getting up and running with Resolve 12.
First up, learn about system setup including understanding how to set up project databases, manage users and what sort of hardware setups are need to get the most out of Resolve.
From there, discover how the interface works and how to get media and projects into Resolve including a detailed look at conforming projects from other NLEs and how to use Resolve’s editorial tools.
Next, learn how to make primary and secondary color corrections using a variety of Resolve’s color tools and how to best leverage Resolve’s powerful node based setup to get the most out of your grades. Color grading is about working fast and staying organized so we’ll cover how to save grades, compare shots, manage versions and share your work with others.
Finally, learn how to use Resolve’s powerful render engine to deliver files for whatever your final output is.
