Dazed talks to Catch Me Daddy director Daniel Wolfe about why he chose to cast non-actors for his gritty debut feature film.
Says Wolfe, “I struggle in the UK with actors’ authenticity, certainly with particular roles. It became necessary to street cast…We wanted the whole thing to feel heightened, it’s why I wanted to street cast – they bring something heightened. I don’t want social realism.”
