One of the most memorable ads to air during the Oscars this past weekend was Comcast’s “Emily’s Oz” spot, which showcases 7-year-old Emily, who was born blind, describing her vision of Oz which is then brought to life through a mixture of puppetry and set design. The commercial touts Comcast’s “talking guide” platform for viewers with visual disabilities. The campaign features a robust website at EmilysOz.com which features more videos of Emily and a behind-the-scenes look at the production of her Oz.
The spot was directed by Andreas Nilsson. Watch below and read more here on Adweek.
