Both controversial and revered, cinematographer Christopher Doyle talks to Indiewire about his sometimes wild, but never dull, philosophies.
He says of the new digital age of cinematography, “Many people ask me: don’t you feel quote unquote intimidated by all these people out there doing all this? I say no, it makes me better. Because if I’m actually asking people to pay me for what I’m doing, it has to be better than anything else you ever seen. Or at least more true. Or at least more personal. So actually, I think that everything that’s happening online with the kids is actually a stimulus to me.”
