Brendan Hall and Anthony Blake’s short documentary “Ring Road” documents their journey through Iceland on the highway of the same name. The pair used a Canon C300 Mark II and Zacuto Recoil Rig with Gratical HD EVF to capture it.
“The C300 Mark II is an absolutely phenomenal cinematic camera,” writes Hall on Zacuto’s website. “Much like its legendary predecessor, it is perfectly geared for documentary work. The new and improved CLog2 color profile has a massive dynamic range that was crucial for Iceland’s varying landscapes. Despite it eating up some card space we were able to shoot in 4K.”
