Camera Tricks Turn Pedestrian City Life Into a Mind-Altering Experience

The main character in JT Singh’s short film “Walk in Shanghai” is quite skilled in walking backward–which comes in handy in Singh’s delightfully quirky piece that combines reverse filming tricks with time-lapse and hyperlapse.

Singh tells The Creators Project, “One of the underlying concepts of the video is that curiously walking in cities can truly be a mind-altering experience, full of unique and surprising moments that can only be personally experienced by the walker.”
