This cinema-style lens includes a newly developed servo drive unit as a standard feature. Additionally, the lens incorporates image stabilization and autofocus functionality (with compatible camera models), two extremely useful features not commonly found in cinema lenses, but which are ubiquitous in photography lenses. NiSi’s IR ND and IR GND filters are made of a single piece of high-quality optical glass and are optimized for 6K digital cameras. Each filter features NiSi’s dual-sided nano coating technology with infrared light pollution control. With their anti-reflective coating, these filters reduce glare to deliver a clear 6K digital image. NiSi has IR ND filters with seven different levels of light control (0.3-2.1), graduated filters (0.3-1.2) and polarizing filters. All filters are available in the following sizes: 4×4, 4×5.65 and 6.6×6.6. Ikan Corp. is the distributor of NiSi’s line of cinema filters.
Announced at the 2016 NAB Show, Tiffen’s Variable Viewing filter incorporates the company’s Variable ND filter, a photographic tool for controlling depth of field and exposure, and adds the ability to stack any Tiffen 49mm ring filter on it. This allows the user to add additional ND filters to increase the stop range, as well as polarizers, diffusion filters and special effects filters. The Variable Viewing filter provides 2 to 8 indexed stops of light control, which is selected by rotating the filter until reaching the desired amount of light reduction. The filter includes a 1.5-inch handle with lanyard for quick access.
