South Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s first American film is Snowpiercer, a post-apocalyptic thriller that takes place entirely on a train and is based on an acclaimed French graphic novel. Bong’s interpretation, however, is incredibly loose.
Bong tells io9 that aside from the book’s concept, “Everything else had to be changed, and that was the approach from the very beginning.”
