Zach Zamboni documents his hectic and fun weekly schedule shooting Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover in New Orleans. Sample entry: “10pm: Snake and Jakes. Jammed behind bar, no room to move, front of my pants soaking up liquor spillage from the well. Crowded, bartender happy to bang Jerry and I around. Shooting on primes which are last-resort, prefer the zoom’s flexibility. It’s very dark, few candles around, a small LED dimmed and hiding on the bar. We’re T1.8 at 3200 iso, camera digs into the shadows nicely. Jager shots.”
