New Technology Works to Reduce Bandwidth for 4K and HDR Broadcasting

Technology maven Yves Faroudja has come out of retirement to help the industry transition to 4K and HDR broadcasting. He is currently shopping around technology that can cut bandwidth requirements in half.

"Whatever [compression scheme] is popular, we can give them a ratio of two in bandwidth reduction, which I think is going to eventually be required," Faroudja tells The Hollywood Reporter.
