in Multiscreen Viewing, What Gets the Most Attention?

A new study from ProSiebenSat.1 Group has studied the effects of multiscreen viewing, and found that TV collects 70% of people’s attention while other screens get 20%.

Writes Thomas Campbell of IP&TV News, “‘All of our test subjects were watching the same programme,’ [director of research Gerald] Neumueller explained. ‘The more people are concentrating, the greater the focus on the main screen,’ he went on, adding that the proportions shifted in accordance with genre, with blockbuster movies compelling the most attention to the main screen, while reality shows and others compelled the least.”
