John Malkovich embodies famed director David Lynch–as well as a host of other indelible characters he’s helped create from works like Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet and more–in the new online experience PlayingLynch.com.
The site, sponsored by Squarespace, is meant to promote the work of the director’s charitable The David Lynch Foundation, which seeks to bring transcendental meditation to at-risk populations.
“It’s definitely not an advertising campaign,” explains Squarespace CCO David Lee to Creativity Online. “We look at this as an art exhibition online. We wanted to be part of this because we’re all about talented people putting their ideas out into the world.”
