J.F. Mercier Relies on MustHD M701H

MustHD’s M701H 7-inch on-camera field monitor features an HDMI input with loop-through HDMI output. The monitor’s IPS panel features 1280 x 800 resolution, 350 nit brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio, and 178° vertical and horizontal viewing angles for good color and contrast rendition even when viewed from off center. Image evaluation tools include peaking, false color, histogram, exposure aids and 1:1 pixel mapping. The monitor comes with a Sony F970-type battery plate, and it incorporates a removable flip-out sun hood that can be used to shade the LCD screen in bright locations.

Shooter J.F. Mercier says of the M701H, “I love this monitor. For the price, the image is very clear, the menu is simple. It comes with everything: hotshoe, power cable, Sony F970-type battery plate—but you have to buy a battery. Canon users can buy an LP-E6 battery plate for $20, which is nice. This monitor is useful for DSLR shooting and you are able to zoom into your image, and there are many image filter options. Seven inches is a minimum for me. This is a great buy. Go for it!”
