FX's American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson focuses on the behind-the-scenes drama of O.J. Simpson's 1995 murder trial. But perhaps the most surprising aspect of the10-episode show is that it recreates a sensational moment in time that most people will misremember.

"You may think that after 20 years you remember every thing that happened, but I assure you that you didn't," author Jeff Toobin, who wrote the book on which the show is based, tells Indiewire. "It is tremendously entertaining and fun, and it's also really serious and deals with issues that are of great [importance] throughout all of American history, but especially now."
