Examining the Signature Long Takes of ‘Birdman’ DP Emmanuel Lubezki

Birdman has the distinction of being a film that looks like it was filmed in one continuous shot, a feat that required months of planning and choreography from director Alejandro González Iñárritu and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. But Lubezki, whose previous credits include Gravity and The Birdcage, has been making long takes his signature for years.
