CBS Stars Wish Rudolph a Happy 50th Anniversary in New Spot

Publish date:

CBS celebrates the 50th anniversary of the beloved stop-motion holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in a new spot that sees Rudolph and Sam the Snowman walking through CBS' backlot and being greeted by a bevy of CBS stars like Lucy Liu, Mayim Bialik and more.

The spot was done at Bent Image Lab and directed by Chel White with animation by Jen Prokopowicz. "Our studio has been called the ‘keepers of the style’ in terms of the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Rankin/Bass type of character animation," White tells Indiewire. "Because we have such a history both with CBS and the Rudolph style, they trusted us to simply take the ball and run with it."
