Behind the Scenes of the 'Nearly Impossible' YouTube Music Awards

Want to know how the irreverent live-streamed YouTube Music Awards got made? YouTube has released a 20-minute behind-the-scenes documentary showing Spike Jonze, Chris Milk and more of its creatives hard at work to create the spectacle.

As Jonze puts it, "It's going to either be a beautiful mess or a disaster."

Milk adds, "What YouTube is about is people making stuff that they're passionate about and we are trying to create that same atmosphere. We make music videos for a living, we do not make live music videos and by adding that component to it, it makes it nearly impossible."
