How VOD Has Boosted TV Consumption

Lost Remote’s Adam Flomenbaum talks to Matt Strauss, SVP and GM of Video Services for Comcast Cable, about the positive impact that VOD has had on their business model.

As Flomenbaum writes, “More than anything else, predictability has set VOD in motion. An extensive and current content library has allowed consumers to discover shows and to catch up on them, which in turn leads to a return to live TV. Until recently, viewers who missed the boat on a show had to wait until a season ended to catch up on Netflix. Before that, it was via DVD box sets.”
