Canon’s ME20F-SH multipurpose camera delivers exceptionally high sensitivity to capture Full HD color video with a minimum subject illumination of less than 0.0005 lux. With output-only 3G/HD-SDI and HDMI terminals, the ME20F-SH enables users working on location to output video via a single cable to a variety of peripheral equipment, including external recorders and monitors. The camera is capable of connecting with Canon’s RC-V100 Remote Controller (sold separately), allowing users to operate the camera or change settings from a remote location. The ME20F-SH is expected to be available in December 2015 at a suggested retail price of $30,000.

Duclos Lenses
Leica 70-180mm Telephoto Cine Zoom

The latest cine-conversion project from Duclos Lenses, the Leica 70-180mm, is based on the Leica Vario-APO-Elmarit-R 70-180mm f/2.8 lens. With generous VistaVision coverage and a constant maximum aperture, the complex optical design consists of 13 elements in 10 groups including five special anomalous partial dispersion elements to maximize contrast and preserve delicate color gradients while defeating flaws such as coma and astigmatism. With a new housing designed by Duclos Lenses, the lens is offered with ARRI PL or Canon EF mount, allowing the lens to be natively mounted to a wide variety of cinema cameras, including imminent 35mm full frame and VistaVision systems.

MVA511FF Follow Focus

Designed with precision and flexibility in mind, Manfrotto’s MVA511FF incorporates a mechanism engineered to eliminate backlash and any play between follow focus and lens movement. The MVA511FF features a doubled-sided drive that allows the user to rotate the gearbox so that they can pull focus in either direction, depending on the lenses they use. The follow focus is supplied with a 35mm friction wheel and a 50-tooth drive gear to accommodate lenses with and without gear rings. It can be mounted on either side of the lens. The MVA511FF is available now for $599.99.

Blackmagic Design announced today that Blackmagic’s DeckLink SDI Micro was used for capture and playback with the pitching tracking system “Baseboy,” a newly announced system by Qoncept Inc. capable of visualizing a ball’s path and interlocking with a camera feed. Baseboy was first used, in conjunction with a Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K, in the recent Japan/US international baseball match, Samurai Japan Series 2019, broadcast by TV Asahi as Japan’s first real time baseboy analysis system.
