The below time-lapse taken from the Rosetta spacecraft depicts what it looked like as the spaceship approached the Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko over five days in the beginning of August.

The video starts off with the comet about 517 miles away and ends with it about 68 miles away. Watch below. (via PetaPixel)
