In the below video from Variety, Unbroken cinematographer Roger Deakins talks about shooting the WWII biopic, Unbroken.

Deakins explains of the film's many tracking shots, "It was very important to [director Angelina Jolie] that we were there with the character. We weren't outside observing it, so we wanted to be tracking with the character. We wanted to be in the bomber with the character and see the experience from his point of view."
