Inspired by the 1960s work of photographer Malick Sidibé, director Malia James joyously documents the people of Kingston, Jamaica in the music video for 

VeilHymn

's "Hymn."

"I've always been a massive fan of Malick Sidibé's work and have wanted to pay tribute to him since his passing last year," James tells

Rolling Stone

. "Taking Dev and Bryndon’s ideas and merging my love of Sidibé, I wanted to explore the concept of creating a fictional, vintage time and place similar to the confident and carefree spirits that Sidibé has documented."
