'The Lion King' and Natural History Museum Inspire Animated Ikea Spot

What happens when a bat, an eagle, and a robot play together? That's the concept behind Ikea's new imaginative animated spot directed by Daren Rabinovitch.

Post-production house MPC's Tom Robinson and Stephen Ross tell Creative Review, "We seemed to float between a realistic matte painting reference from the New York Natural History museum and a storybook illustration from some concept art from the Lion King. Over time the style gravitated towards the fantasy storybook feel.”
