Joy editors Jay Cassidy and Alan Baumgarten speak to Deadline about their work on David O. Russell's latest film.

"David approaches the whole process as a writer," says Cassidy. "He writes the script. When he's shooting he's constantly rewriting with the actors as they find the characters and in the editing he very much rewrites certain aspects of the story. And he's learned as a director on the set not to box himself into corners."
