Annabelle director John Leonetti talks to Fast Company's Co.Create about how his experience as a cinematographer (The Conjuring) and a television director helped him direct the hit horror film.

He says, "As a director of photography, you’re already involved in directing a whole crew to help realize the vision of the director. It’s a great stepping stone, on many levels...For me personally, it’s very advantageous. I don’t need storyboards.”
