Government Video Expo Announces World-Class Training and Education Programs for Video Professionals

NewBay Media has announced several educational and training programs for the thousands of content creation professionals who will be attending Government Video Expo at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, from December 3rd – 5th, 2013.

DC POST | PRODUCTION CONFERENCE: Produced by Future Media Concepts (FMC), this three-day event focuses on the evolving roles and tools in the post-production process. Three tracks provide in-depth sessions on editing applications (Adobe CS, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer), and a variety of important topics such as social media strategy for post-production pros.

Highlights include full-day seminars and workshops on Color Correction & Grading; Lighting, Shooting & Conducting Interviews; Video Compression; Adobe Creative Cloud; Motion Graphics; Post Production Techniques and Secrets; as well as day long tracks focused on video production, and specialized sessions for producers/directors.

In addition, attendees can take the two-day Premiere Pro for Experienced Editors hands-on class that leads to certification.

PRO MEDIA CONFERENCE: Introduced at last year’s Government Video Expo, the Pro Media Conference offers the latest information and techniques for those working in government-related media operations. Presentations will include discussions of new technologies, as well as targeted looks at creating, managing and delivering content for government agencies. Developed with both government-operated and private production organizations in mind, the Pro Media Conference will explore the media needs of government and ways to fulfill those needs.

Immersive Digital Experiences Alliance (IDEA) to Create Specifications for Next-Gen Immersive Media, Including Light Field Technology

The Immersive Digital Experiences Alliance (IDEA) will launch at the 2019 NAB Show with the goal of creating a suite of royalty-free specifications that address all immersive media formats, including emerging light field technology. Founding members, including CableLabs®, Light Field Lab Inc, Otoy, and Visby, created IDEA to serve as an alliance of like-minded technology, infrastructure, and creative innovators working to facilitate the development of an end-to-end ecosystem for the capture, distribution, and display of immersive media.


NextRadioTV Deploys Extensive MediorNet Routing Solution From Riedel Communications

NextRadioTV has deployed a large-scale MediorNet real-time signal network from Riedel Communications to serve as the backbone for the broadcaster's brand-new audiovisual infrastructure. The 204-node MediorNet system has been installed in the new NextRadioTV facilities on the Paris campus of the Altice Group, which acquired NextRadioTV in 2016, to support signal distribution, routing, and processing over a single decentralized real-time network.
