IndieWire talks to the director (Pablo Larrain), star (Natalie Portman), writer (Noah Oppenheim), and producer (Darren Arofonsky) behind Jacqueline Kennedy biopic Jackie. The film specifically focuses on the First Lady in the week immediately following her husband's assassination.
"The biggest challenge that the movie had to achieve was just to share a specific sensibility," says Larrain. "She went through existential terror and what she did was grab the entire country’s grief and put it on her shoulder. Through the tools of fiction, we play with that fire and see if it can burn.”
