BEM-072H

The BEM-072H is a 7” on-camera monitor that accepts SD-SDI through 3G-SDI. Its high-brightness screen (1,100 cd/m²) provides a clear view in sunlight. The 1.87 lb. monitor has a resolution of 1024 x 600, viewing angle of 160° and contrast ratio of 900:1. SDI waveform/vectorscope, R/G/B or gray-only modes, and audio level meters are included. Other SDI features include focus assist, exposure range check, false color and timecode display. Three function buttons in front are user-assignable. Bon Electronics monitors are distributed by Postium.

TLM-700HD

The TLM-700HD is a 7” HD or SD-ready color field monitor that features HDMI, HD/SD-SDI, component and composite inputs. Resolution is 800 x 480, aspect ratio is switchable among 16:9, 4:3 and 15:9, brightness is 300 cd/m2, contrast ratio is 500:1. The NTSC/PAL auto-detect feature is great for a smooth workflow. Image adjustment features include internal color bar, color temperature, color select and “blue-only” mode. The unit ships with a standard V-mount, giving you the option to power the monitor using a universal battery from a range of manufacturers. It also ships with a sunshade for use in the field.

ColorEdge CG318-4K

The 31” ColorEdge CG318-4K has a DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) native resolution. It ships with a built-in sensor to enable self-calibration for hassle-free monitor maintenance. EIZO offers two calibration software programs (ColorNavigator NX and ColorNavigator 6), as well as ColorNavigator Network for color management on a network. The monitor uses an LED-backlit IPS LCD panel with a wide color gamut that reproduces 98 percent of the DCI-P3 and 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space. Viewing angles are 178° and the maximum brightness is 350 cd/m2. Contrast ratio is 1500:1. Two DisplayPort and two HDMI connectors are included. The ColorEdge CG318-4K will begin shipping in April 2015.

This 7” high-brightness (1,100 cd/m2) 3G-SDI camera monitor is bright enough to view outside in direct sunlight without a hood. It features a 1024 x 600 display, 800:1 contrast ratio, 170° viewing angles, three manually switchable brightness levels as well as auto-brightness, and image flip functionality. The monitor accepts HD video signals via its 3G-SDI or HDMI inputs and can also display 2K video signals. The monitor will convert HDMI in to SDI out. Key features include waveform, vectorscope, histogram, on-screen timecode display, false color, freeze frame and movable pixel to pixel. The unit weighs 2 lb. MSRP is $2,500.

This 84” professional 4K LCD monitor features a native screen resolution of 3840 x 2160, as well as 60p input and display capability for professional sports and other high-speed content. Its IPS LCD panel offers 120 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. Housed in a slim bezel with 178° viewing angles, the edge-lit LED-illuminated monitor produces vibrant, natural images from a variety of HD and 4K input sources, including HDMI 1.4a (single cable 4K up to 30p) and HDMI 1.3 (four-cable 4K up to 60p). Other features include audio I/O for the built-in 15W speaker and a table base. The RS-840UD has a suggested list price of $14,995.

The HDF-500 is a feature-rich 5” viewfinder/portable monitor with an 800 x 480 resolution color LCD panel. Measuring approximately 7.1” x 4.6” x 2.8” and weighing about 2.1 lb., the HDF-500 includes 3G-SDI inputs (with an active loop-through), HDMI, return video and a viewfinder interface connection. There’s a built-in HDMI-to-SDI cross-converter and a single cable connection to the camera viewfinder interface. Test and measurement functions include waveform and vectorscope. Power consumption is approximately 15W, contrast ratio is 900:1, viewing angle is 170° H/V and brightness is 700 cd/m2. Suggested retail price is $3,724.

The BT-4LH310 31” 4K LCD monitor provides powerful support for 4K and 2K/HD image production for broadcasting and cinema applications. The monitor supports both 4K (4096 x 2160, 17:9) and QFHD (3840 x 2160) resolutions. Its reference-level image quality and color reproduction meet the DCI (P3) color gamut standards. Its LUT upload function allows high-precision color management in a digital cinema workflow. This LCD monitor comes with a variety of display functions to assist video production, such as zoom, focus-in-red and Y map, as well as other handy functions that streamline production activities, including frame grab and error indication. The rugged aluminum frame and AC/DC power capability allow mobility. Suggested list price is $28,000.

ProAm USA recently added the 7” Iris Pro HD on-camera monitor to its Iris LCD product line. Resolution on this 7” LED-backlit monitor is 1280 x 800, brightness is 400 cd/m2, contrast ratio is 800:1 and viewing angle is 178°. It features an HDMI out port, while inputs include HDMI, RGB and AV by BNC connectors. With versatile mounting options and inputs, the 7” Iris Pro may be mounted on the camera, a camera crane or jib. Ships with battery adapter plate for Sony NP-F970 and Canon LP-E6, Anton/Bauer V-mount adapter panel, and sunshade. MSRP is $399.

This 9” field monitor offers full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) and a sunlight-readable brightness of 800 cd/m2. Contrast is 900:1. It accommodates a wide range of image sources (3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI) and provides a wide viewing angle (176°). All the professional features including timecode display, waveform/vectorscope, range error, user aspect ratio, UMD, closed captions and focus assist are also supported. The SRM-095W weighs 4.6 lb. and includes built-in V-mount. (The SRM-095W is an updated version of the LVM-095W. Except for its increased brightness, it offers the same technical performance and operational features of its sister monitor.)
