The New York Times goes behind-the-scenes of NBC's live Sound of Music telecast, airing this Thursday.

Says director Beth McCarthy-Miller, "I have three hours to screw up. Mikes could go out, music cues could not happen, cameras could go down — there are so many things that could go wrong...It’s kind of exciting.”
