Avid Gears Up for Its Annual NAB Connection

Avid will hold its annual Avid Connect event at NAB 2017. Avid Connect gathers Avid users, partners and fans for two days of conference sessions, seminars, neworking and Avid evangelism at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

Avid Connect runs 22-23 April, just before the NAB Show kicks off. Among the key themes of this year's conference are working in the cloud, 4K/8K and HDR workflows, immersive media, media asset management and building audience loyalty.

Speakers include representatives from NBC Universal, Fotokem, Dolby, Facebook, Dell, Al Jazeera and Borix FX. Session titles include: "Crafting documentaries that educate, enlighten and entertain," "Streamlined Pro Tools mixing workflows for Atmos," "Designing and implementing foley sounds in video games," "The future of news workflow" and "Shaping the future of cloud-based media."
