French street artist JR has created an optical illusion that makes IM Pei's famed glass pyramid at the entrance of the Louvre disappear. JR used a carefully scanned image of the front of the building, placed at precisely the right spot, as a film atop the pyramid for the feat.

"‘It’s a little like magic; how will people discuss and share and repeat it – and in a way that’s often changed or amplified from the reality," the artist tells Wallpaper. "It fascinates me to think of how people will remember the image when it no longer exists."
