Despite the proliferation of 4K-capable cameras, Fstoppers's Tihomir Lazarov explains why shooting with an HD camera could suffice perfectly.
He writes, "The current video mass media requires mostly 2K footage. You can do perfectly fine with a 2K camera. Do you know most of the Hollywood movies you know were shot on a 2.6K or 3.4K cinema cameras? Lately they started to shoot on higher resolution cameras and yet they release digital files in 2K. Again, if your videos are technically good, you don't need a higher resolution camera to create great stories that can be even projected in movie theaters."
