VideoIQ, a producer of video surveillance technology located in Bedford, Mass., says the latest version—3.0—of its “Software Development Kit” (SDK) for the VideoIQ family of iCVR cameras and encoders is available.
The latest SDK provides clients with the ability to integrate their solutions with VideoIQ’s entire iCVR platform, including the latest iCVR-HD high definition cameras, to deliver the highest level of intelligent, proactive surveillance, the company says in a written statement.
The VideoIQ iCVR line of cameras and encoders deliver real-time threat detection while eliminating the need for external third party “network video recorders” (NVR), “digital video recorders” (DVR), and “video management system” (VMS) platforms, simplifying system complexity and costs while reducing bandwidth consumption by over 90 percent, VideoIQ says.
In addition, the SDK provides 100 percent self-calibrating adaptive analytics, allowing customers to achieve accuracy and the “lowest false alarm rate in the industry” while eliminating the need to manually calibrate the system over the lifetime of the device – further reducing system costs and complexity, the firm says.
VideoIQ’s open, published SDK allows technology partners to integrate VideoIQ’s award winning adaptive analytics and leading storage solution into their own surveillance platforms. “Version 3.0 of VideoIQ’s SDK gives our partners access to the only camera with full megapixel analytics for dramatically greater range and accuracy and up to half a terabyte of onboard storage for reduced system complexity,” said Mark Gally, VideoIQ’s vice president of marketing. “As a result, our partners are now able to further extend their solutions to include even greater proactive protection and deployment flexibility than ever before.”
