Sony Upgrades Vision Exchange Learning Tool

v1.1 includes Skype for Business integration and Personal Note Taker

PARK RIDGE, N.J.—Sony’s interactive collaboration and learning platform Vision Exchange is getting an upgrade to support global learning and smart note taking, according to a press release from the company. The new v1.1, which will become available in June, will now be able to integrate with Skype for Business as well as provide access to Personal Note Taker.

Skype for Business is a remote communication tool. Users can share content with multiple users within a workgroup regardless of geographical location. Content can also be shared wirelessly from a range of devices. With the new Personal Note Taker enables students to refer, capture, write and save the main screen content using their own devices for later review.

Other new features as part of the upgrade will include an HDMI input to support Pod PC software PES-C10, with the addition of a third-party HDMI capture box, it can also support AverMedia’s DarkCrystal CD750; BYOD screen mirroring is now enabled with major OS platforms; multi-language support; Streaming Option support for Pod PC software PES-C10 (requires optional license PEQA-C30); and the content area of the primary display can now be streamed out for recording, lecture capture or live distribution with the optional license PEQA-C30.

The updates will apply to the two main unit series PEQ-C100, PEQ-C130 and Pod PC Software PES-C10. Vision Exchange will also remain compatible with all of Sony’s Interactive Bravia Professional Displays, enabling users to create AV solutions for education environments.

The software update will be available at no additional cost for the first year of purchase, per Sony.
