Planar Brings Simplicity and Style to Digital Signage

Incorporates media playing and commercial-grade features into sleek signage solution

PORTLAND, ORE.—Planar Systems, Inc. has introduced the Planar Simplicity Series line of large format LCD displays.

Planar Simplicity Series full-featured digital signage displays combine a slim design with content playback capabilities and a range of commercial features. With built-in media playing, these displays eliminate the need for additional hardware. Planar Simplicity Series displays are easy to install and enable users to create and display content using tools including videos, photography from cell phone cameras, stock photos and music libraries.

The symmetrical and logo-free bezel offers a form factor designed for digital signage in either landscape or portrait orientation. At a depth of less than 1.7”, Planar Simplicity Series displays are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Planar Simplicity Series is available now in 32” and 42”, and additional sizes will be available in early 2014.

Planar Simplicity Series displays include USB playback with scheduling, LAN and mobile device content distribution, built-in speakers and a Kensington security slot for worry-free installation. This eliminates the need for third-party hardware.

The displays are easy to install and use, but robust enough for more advanced installations. Users needing to install multiple displays can push content from one computer to several individual displays.

Planar Simplicity Series support video, audio and images. The inputs and external controls include HDMI, VGA, DVI, Component Video, RS-232, Ethernet (RJ-45) and IR Remote Control.

Planar Simplicity Series displays offer full HD 1080p resolution and are backed by the company’s CustomerFirst 3-Year Warranty. They also incorporate advanced power management, resulting in 30 percent less power consumption than the industry average for LED backlit displays.
