The 350th Electronic Systems Group at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts has selected the Kaleido-X multi-viewer display system, Nvision 8280 3Gbps/HD/SD router and Nvision 9000 Control System for its new state-of-the art monitoring facility.
“We needed an advanced multi-image system with the ability to view up to 128 video images across several monitors at the same time,” said Matthew Galvagni, AV engineer. “The tight integration of a Kaleido-X multi-viewer display system, Nvision 9000 Control System and Nvision 8280 router gave us a highly scalable, flexible system. This enabled us to instantly change layout configurations, assign inputs, and dynamically zoom one source larger for quality control, or for audio monitoring of an on-screen source directly from the Kaleido-X, eliminating the need for a third party device.”
A single Kaleido-X 7RU frame can accept up to 96 video inputs and provide up to eight multi-image outputs. Multiple frames can be connected to address large scale monitoring requirements. The system can be easily configured for multi-room or multi-user environments.
The Nvision 8280 3Gbps/HD/SD router provides redundant crosspoint technology and scalable expandable architecture supporting high-density matrixes and can accept 288 video inputs and 576 video outputs that can feed the Kaleido-X.
