Magal Wins 3 Video Surveillance Contracts Totaling $1.7M

Projects include a North American prison and an international airport in Asia.

Magal Security Systems, Ltd., a security technology provider located in Yahud, Israel, says it has been awarded three repeat contracts totaling $1.7 million, one of which is at a prison in North America.

While Magal did not name the North American prison, it says the $500,000 contract is for the installation of upgrades and improvements at the facility, including inmate cell communication and guard tour systems, the company says in a written statement.

In addition, Magal has won a similar contract in Israel to not only install the same equipment at a prison, but also security equipment for a highly protected site with three existing “perimeter intrusion detection system” layers. Magal will also upgrade the current “video motion detection” (VMD) system to the “Maestro DB,” Magal’s latest video solution.

Magal has also been awarded a contract to expand a current project at a major international airport in Asia, which includes expanding the airport’s communication and surveillance equipment and associated infrastructure.
