Innovative Security Designs, an Internet protocol (IP) surveillance company, launches its Jaguar Mini camera series, which are IP surveillance cameras featuring dual 256 GB secure digital (SD) slots for more robust and flexible storage options.
Available in a small form factor, the Jaguar Mini comes in the JMS-AF-1080P and JMS-CS-1080P versions that deliver full 1080P HD resolution based on two megapixel, complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors, ISD says.
Users can leverage 512 GB of total edge-based storage or enhanced reliability by using the SD cards as a mirrored pair, ISD says. The new cameras include wide dynamic range and outputs for analog devices to help transition from analog to IP systems, the company says, adding a dome housing option will be available.
The Jaguar Mini cameras provide the benefits of IP such as motion detection and H.264 compression to reduce storage and bandwidth requirements, and they are powered by power over Ethernet (POE) or direct current while still using less than 3 watts, ISD says. The cameras’ day/night filters provide low-light performance and internal plus external microphone input and line out deliver full duplex audio, according to the company. The cameras also allows for remote and immediate camera configuration via full-time National Television System Committee/programmable array logic analog interface.
The Jaguar Mini offers “long-term on-board storage, enhanced reliability and peace of mind through mirrored SD cards, and external integration with NAS devices,” says Ian Johnston, ISD’s CEO.
