Haivision, Jupiter Systems Join to Provide In-House Video System

Haivision’s Makito H.264 encoder to integrate with Jupiter’s Canvas visualization system

Haivision, a provider of solutions for managing secure Internet protocol video, and Jupiter Systems, a supplier of visualization solutions for video walls and mobile devices, have produced a system that enables users’ analog CCTV video surveillance systems to work directly within their network video systems.
Under the partnership, Haivision is to integrate its Makito H.264 encoder with Jupiter’s Canvas multipoint visualization systems, according to the companies. The combined solution will enable users to encode and multicast real-time video throughout an organization on PCs, tablets and smartphones, enhancing situational awareness and enabling better decision-making, the firms said.
Jupiter’s Canvas solution sets “a strong standard for visualization and collaboration solutions across the enterprise and around the world,” said Peter Maag, Haivision’s chief marketing officer. The partnership will enable users to “access content wherever it is needed and annotate directly on live video,” he added.
“Haivision is a valued technology partner with a reputation for the highest levels of performance and flexible codec technology,” said Brady Bruce, Jupiter’s vice president of marketing and strategic alliances.
