Systems will be used to capture, display and distribute real-time imagery.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.—Vislink Technologies has been enlisted by the U.S. Army, with the military branch placing an order with the company for wireless cameras and related components at a value of $300,000, per Vislink.

Vislink bills its products as being able to provide enhanced situational-awareness capabilities in areas like covert surveillance, tactical-systems monitoring and strategic detection. Some of the products designed for military use include satcom systems for both fixed installations and deployable configurations; mini video transmitters and receivers; and airborne surveillance downlink systems.

The army will use its newly acquired products to capture, display and distribute real-time imagery.
