Residents of the George Mark Children’s House in San Leandro, Calif. can now interact with animals from the San Diego and Oakland Zoos through the San Diego Kids television adventure channel without having to leave the home.

The facility, which cares for children with incurable and chronic conditions, now has access to the 24-hour closed circuit TV channel which lets viewers interact with zoo animals and follow their daily travails.
The program is funded by businessman and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford, and GMCH is the 250th facility to broadcast San Diego Zoo Kids. A grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services helped make the channel available on TV monitors at GMCH.
