SAN JOSE, Calif.—Quantum has introduced new product lines and capabilities that boost its video surveillance and physical security product portfolio. The new lineup includes new network video recording servers, new servers for building management systems, GPU-based video analytics and new capabilities to its VS-HCI series.
The new Network Video Recording servers are a complement to Quantum’s VS-HCI series. They are offered in both mini-tower and rack-mounted form factors for surveillance recording and video management.
Quantum is also introducing the VS2108-A analytics server for support of graphics processing and parallel workload demands of video analytics. The system can be configured with up to six GPUs in a computer 2U chassis and can accelerate results with analytics software platforms. There is also the VS1110-A for access control and building management applications. The VS1110-A can be monitored remotely via a secure web-based portal.
Updates to the VS-HCI series have also been revealed, including remote monitoring through a secure web-based portal.
All of these new products are part of Quantum’s archive storage for surveillance technology, which is based on the StorNext file system and object storage platforms from ActiveScale, which Quantum acquired on March 16.
