Maine East High School Students Create PSAs for Park Ridge Police

Videos have been shared on the department’s Facebook page.

Maine East High School broadcasting students recently worked with the Park Ridge Police Department on a couple of short public service announcements on citizens locking their home and cars that have been shared on the department’s Facebook page.

Park Ridge had previously worked with another Maine high school for video projects, and this time reached out to Maine East to develop these PSA videos based on a concept provided by the department. This opportunity gave the students “an authentic career experience,” Phillip Ash, broadcasting teacher at Maine East, told the Chicago Tribune.

A third PSA is expected to be created.
