MINNEAPOLIS—When Holbrook Community Access and Media needed to updates its automation and playout system it opted for the Cablecast Community Media system to help serve the residents of Holbrook, Mass.
HCAM operates two TV channels, one on government access and the other a combination of public access and educational programming. It’s goal in acquiring a new system, according to Executive Director Zack Gorman, was to help free up its staff to focus on content creation.
Choosing the Cablecast platform helped HCAM streamline its scheduling, playout and streaming workflows. With its remote access capability, HCAM operators could also use the system from anywhere.
Subsequent software upgrades to Cablecast have added additional features. These include the ability to post meeting agendas from the local government alongside VOD clips, as well as being able to add chapter markers to online VOD clips. HCAM also utilizes Cablecast’s integrated broadcast, OTT and online publishing workflow.
