Government Video Website of the Week:

The site is for anyone with a disability who is looking for a job.

Are there any people more deserving of resources to help them help themselves than disabled veterans? is NOT JUST for veterans–the site says it’s for anyone with a disability who is looking for a job. But vet or not, it has a wealth of resources job bank with a couple thousand jobs, advice on everything from writing a cover letter to shaking hands at an interview to developing a good LinkedIn profile, along with news on disability law and policy.

“We want to help you, a person with a disability seek employment,” the site says. “So come, post your resume and look for a job. Its free! Our goal is to get as many jobs for people with disabilities as possible.”

Posting a resume is free. Posting a job announcement is $50 for 60 days or $625 for a year. The site also welcomes donations.

disABLEDperson Inc., the nonprofit behind the site, also awards scholarships of up to $750 for college students with disabilities.

Here’s The Pentagon Channel’s take on the organization and Website

Yes, we know this isn’t actually a government Website. But because of the service it provides for those who served (and to others), is the Government Video Website of the Week.

And check out last week’s Website of the Week, where the U.S. Holocaust Museum highlights the stories, hopes and terrors of the survivors of modern-day genocide on its World Is Witness Website.
