Dallas Plans To Build A Community Television Station

Station will be dedicated for students aspiring to be broadcasters

DALLAS, TX–The City of Dallas is planning to build a broadcast learning center for students seeking to hone their broadcast industry skills and knowledge.

According to this local KXAS report, the center will house “three studio sets for community and educational planning, editing stations, a student lab and a separate program for students at two nearby high schools.” College students from nearby universities will also be given the opportunity to take classes or field internships at the center.

Construction of the broadcast learning center is set for January of 2017. However, Dallas’ city council still needs to approve the overall plan.
