Compact Penny + Giles Joystick Features Hall Effect Sensors

Intended for fingertip control applications

CHRISTCHURCH, ENGLAND—The compact JC2000 joystick controller from high precision sensing technology designer-manufacturer Penny + Giles is intended for fingertip control applications where safety and long life are requirements.

The JC2000 is available in one-, two- or three-axis configurations and can be supplied with five handle styles, two of which can be fitted with a push button switch in a choice of five colors. Its compact under-panel size, low operational force and reliability also make it ideal for CCTV control room applications.

The contactless design uses Hall effect sensors, so there are no moving parts in the sensing system of all three available axes, eliminating flexing wires. The single- and dual-axis units are also available with two independent outputs in each axis.

The JC2000 offers a top mounting flange that is compatible with the Penny + Giles JC200 inductive joystick, but with a below-flange depth of only 31mm.

The JC2000 also features environmental specification that includes sealing to IP65 above the panel, an operating temperature of -25ºC to +70ºC, a shock level of 40g and EMC immunity of 60V/m.
